Expanding With the Needs of Our Community

The city of Los Alamitos grew with the flourishing aircraft industry early during World War II and, in the next two decades, had a population of former servicemen and others in need of healthcare services. Los Alamitos Medical Center was founded in 1968 to meet those needs.

Today, the hospital is the largest employer in Los Alamitos. We’ve continued to add some of the best medical professionals to our staff and have also added a broad range of medical services while investing in the newest technology.

Our 167-bed, acute-care hospital provides inpatient and outpatient services including 24-hour emergency care; a Total Care Pavilion housing cancer, imaging, infusion and orthopedic centers; specialized mental health care services for seniors; and a separate ambulatory surgical center.

Patients return to Los Alamitos for our award-winning interventional heart and stroke services, our joint and spine specialists, our minimally invasive surgery options and our conveniently located outpatient facilities. Their appreciation also extends to our highly skilled staff, which is committed to providing you with the highest level of care.
