What Is RSS?

RSS stand for Real Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. This technology gathers and sends online content — such as news, audio and video — directly to your computer. Using an RSS feed reader, you can automatically receive and browse the latest news from various websites  without having to visit each one of them.

How do I subscribe to RSS feeds?

To subscribe to any RSS feed, you have to download and install software known as an  RSS reader, feed reader or aggregator. You can also receive RSS feeds through free Web-based RSS readers – including Feedly and Digg. If you decide to install software, a couple of options include FeedReader (Windows) or Leaf (Mac).

Feeds from Los Alamitos Medical Center are free of charge. If you’d like to stop receiving them at any time, simply remove them from your RSS reader or aggregator.
