Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Thank you. We hope you enjoy using our website.

Leadership Team

A message from the CEO

Clayton_Kent_web siteWelcome to Los Alamitos Medical Center. On behalf of the physicians, hospital leadership, nurses, technicians, social workers, and all of the ‘behind the scenes’ staff of your hospital care … it is our privilege to provide quality patient care with unrelenting attention to clinical excellence, patient safety and an unparalleled passion and commitment to assure the very best health care for those we serve.

Your hospital stay will involve many caregivers starting with your first point of contact, our admitting staff and volunteers. You’ll also meet many of our nursing, dietary, environmental services, and pharmacy staff, all with a common goal: To be the hospital of choice for patients, physicians and employees through an environment of mutual respect and the delivery of exemplary patient care.

Since 1968, we have cared for members of our own families, colleagues, and community members, and are committed to earn the trust of our community through continually recognizing and responding to the health care needs as we exceed our patients’ expectations through a culture of caring, compassion, quality, innovation and excellence in all that we do.

We continue to expand our services and are pleased with the advancements of our orthopedic, neurosciences and cardiovascular services. Our Cancer Center patients now have access to some of the most-advanced, world-class cancer care much closer to home resulting from the board-certified UCLA Health physicians providing radiation oncology services at our hospital.

Los Alamitos Medical Center has a range of health care services, but in addition to technology upgrades, our quality indicators are a great source of pride. We have been honored and recognized by The Joint Commission, CIGNA, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, to name a few. We are one of only six hospitals in the state chosen for a Senate bill pilot program for our catheterization lab (heart services), and we were among the first hospitals nationwide to earn complete accreditation for all imaging services

Thank you for choosing Los Alamitos Medical Center.

Sincerely,

Kent Clayton
