Patient & Visitor Information

Welcome to Los Alamitos Medical Center. For the convenience of visitors, there is a cafeteria, gift shop, vending machines, private physician/family consultation room, volunteers to assist you, and patient services managers for both in-patients and out-patients. There is tram service to get you to the hospital or other campus buildings. The Los Alamitos Medical Center campus includes the Total Care Pavilion, four medical office buildings, and an ambulatory surgery center.

Los Alamitos Medical Center wants both its patients and visitors to be healthy. If you are sick or not feeling well, please delay your visit to a patient to another time.

To reduce your risk of illness, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing. After sneezing or coughing, wash your hands with soap and water. Wash your hands frequently, especially after using the bathroom.

Healthy Habits.  Los Alamitos Medical Center is a smoke-free campus. No smoking is permitted in the hospital proper, medical office buildings, patios, courtyards, the TotalCare Pavilion, or parking lots.  Thank you for helping us to create and maintain a healthy environment.

Plan of Care and Discharge Instructions   Upon admission, all patients will receive an admission/discharge folder of information. Please keep this at your bedside until you are ready to go home. This folder will contain information on your plan of care and what to do when you are discharged.
