Medical Center Receives Recognition for Radiology Services

Los Alamitos, CA (January 2011) – The American College of Radiology has accredited Los Alamitos Medical Center’s radiology department in several modalities. The hospital is proud to announce that the ultrasound teams at LAMC and TotalCare Imaging Center have both received ACR accreditation in:
- Obstetrical ultrasound
- Gynecological ultrasound
- Vascular Peripheral ultrasound
- Vascular Cerebro ultrasound
- Vascular Abdominal ultrasound
- Vascular Deep abdominal ultrasound
- General ultrasound
The hospital voluntarily went through a rigorous review process to be sure it meets nationally accepted standards. The personnel have to meet certain qualifications, the equipment must be appropriate for tests or treatment, and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines.
