LOS ALAMITOS, CA – March, 2008 Los Alamitos Medical Center has exciting news to share. Over the next several weeks, the hospital’s radiation oncology department will move into a brand new $10 million Cancer Center. In addition to this new expansion, there will be name changes on the Medical Center’s campus. The TotalCare diagnostic imaging department has done a wonderful job over the past five years and has built an outstanding reputation for the hospital within the community. To further connect this recognizable name to the Los Alamitos Medical Center campus, the John Douglas French building will be re-named the TotalCare Pavilion. The new cancer center will be called the TotalCare Cancer Center and a new infusion center will be called the TotalCare Infusion Center. The diagnostic imaging department – what most people currently know as TotalCare, will now be the TotalCare Imaging Center. The addition of the new Centers to the growing campus is a great source of pride for the hospital staff. The Cancer Center’s new equipment and technology will allow the Medical Center to offer advanced treatment options for patients. Primary care physicians, oncologists, and radiation oncologists will be able to closely follow their patients on the Los Alamitos Medical Center campus. More news will follow in the coming weeks.
