Patient Satisfaction

Los Alamitos Medical Center has had a successful patient satisfaction program, Going the Extra Mile (GEM), for several years.  In 2001, it was enhanced by incorporating aspects of the nationwide Tenet initiative, Target 100.  The goal of our GEMs of Target 100 is to achieve 100 percent satisfaction among our most important constituents - patients, employees, and physicians.  Using an Action Team approach in such key areas as Patient Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, Employee Communication, and Rewards & Recognition, we are intent on seeking out and implementing significant improvements in these areas.

Customer service excellence is a dominant aspect of the Los Alamitos Medical Center culture.  We make every effort to meet and exceed patient expectations while recognizing and rewarding our staff for their successes.

With your assistance, we can achieve our goals. "How am I Doing" cards are located throughout the facility; please take a moment to fill one out to acknowledge the service you or a patient received.  Also, we encourage your suggestions and input which helps us to continually improve.
