An Unexpected, 'Non-Healthcare' Experience

What is most striking about the environment is that it doesn't feel like a typical hospital setting. An inviting interior has been created that is warm, calming, and comfortable. The carefully planned execution of textures, lighting, and colors combine to offer guests a non-clinical and relaxing environment. Beautifully crafted interior finishes of light-colored woods and comfortable seating are the first signs of something very different. Please call 562.799.3251 to find out if your next diagnostic appointment can be made at the Total Care Imaging Center.

Bone Densitometry
Bone Density scanning is also referred to as DEXA. It is an enhanced form of X-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss.

CT
This service is referred to as CT or CAT scan. It combines X-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images from inside the body.

PET CT
A PET/CT is a combination of two types of scans. The combined systems allow a physician to see where something is located in the body and also to see how the cells are functioning.

Mammography
The American College of Radiology has designated the Total Care Imaging Center's mammography program a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We have advanced digital mammography and breast ultrasound. Digital mammography lowers the patient's radiation dose and decreases patient call back exams as technologists are able to quickly review images as they are taken.

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
When your mammogram or breast ultrasound show an abnormality that raises concern and your doctor requests a tissue sample, a stereotactic breast biopsy is one way to get tissue from a specific location.  This is a minimally invasive procedure.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is also called sonography. It involves exposing the body to high frrequency sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body.

X-Ray
Radiology is the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. An X-tray takes pictures - or images - of any bone in the body as well as internal organs.

Except for the medical equipment, there's not much about Total Care to remind you of a hospital. It's located at Katella and Bloomfield on the first floor of the Total Care Pavilion. You can park right outside the front door and it's just a few steps to Total Care.
