Los Alamitos, CA (March 2012) – Los Alamitos Medical Center has discontinued the fee for its InQuickER service. Now, patients who want to hold their place online, can do so without a service charge.

The popular emergency department service allows users to wait in the comfort of their own home before arriving at the ER at the projected treatment time. When people are in need of hospital care but aren’t experiencing symptoms severe enough to require immediate attention, InQuickER can help them avoid waiting in the ER. This web-based program allows users to view current ER wait times and hold a place online.

“When using InQuickER, patients are asked to fill out information about their medical history and symptoms,” says Susan Morales, director of marketing. “Not only does this eliminate a portion of the paperwork you’ll have to fill out once you arrive, but it also allows the nurses and physicians to know what to expect before you arrive.”

The hospital has a phone app and web site where patients can access the InQuickER service. To use the internet, visit www.losalamitosmedctr.com to use InQuickER should you need emergency treatment.
